What type of henna do you use?
* Jagua: Extracted from a fruit. The stain ends up being a blue/black color which is the closest to the color of an ink tattoo. (This is the most commonly used henna. Best on all skin tones, especially darker sink)
* Traditional/Mehndi: Derived from a plant. This stain ends up being a brownish red/orange color.
* White Henna: A paste that is extremely temporary. This henna lasts ONLY 24 - 48 hours. It is not a dye, it is a paste. This is typically done for weddings, all white parties/day events.
Is henna safe for pregnant women?
Yes! So come get your bellies beautified!
How long does henna last?
Jagua lasts 7 - 10 days, Traditional lasts 10 - 14 days depending on how long you let the henna dry. White henna, only 24 - 48 hours.
Is black henna safe?
No!! Not at all and I will not use it. Black henna is dangerous and not good for the skin. It contains paraphenylenediamine (PPD) which is not meant for the skin. It will cause blistering and rashes to the skin. Google results of black henna on the skin if you need picture references.
Is henna safe on newborns?
No, infant skin is more fragile then ours so I don't recommend putting henna on your precious baby.
How long does it take for the henna to dry?
Jagua and Traditional Henna takes 2 - 3 hours to dry and White Henna takes 20 - 30 minutes.
How long should I leave the henna on?
We recommend you to leave the henna on for 4+ hours after application. The longer you leave it on the better it'll show on your skin and the longer it'll last.
Can I wet my henna?
Yes, however you have to wait at least 24 hours before wetting your henna tattoo after you washed your initial application off.
Is henna permanent?
No. Henna is a temporary dye or paste.
How much does henna cost?
Henna prices start at $50+ and varies depending on size, design/intricacy and multiple body areas. There is a $50 deposit required before booking a henna appointment and the deposit does go towards your henna service.
